Congratulations!It was a day for celebratory cake at Harvey Maps on Monday 1st May. Pete Child, senior cartographer, came back from his Scourie holiday to announce that he and his partner Peta had just ascended Suilven and thus completed the listed Scottish hills, Corbetts, Grahams and Donalds. Pete himself has already celebrated finishing all the Munros.Pete combines his love of the hills with his work: as a cartographer of 23 years standing at HARVEY, he is instrumental in creating the mapping and also in suggesting areas to map. His knowledge of the hills is invaluable to the Company, whose catchphrase is: maps made by walkers for walkers. |
